Niche Restaurant: A Culinary Haven in Geneva, IL

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been to Niche. I’ve been coming since they first opened. Their menu is always rotating and I can honestly say that everything I’ve had there hits the mark. I’m not a huge asparagus person, but when I saw they had pimento, candied garlic, and potato chip crumble asparagus, I knew I had to try it. Of course it was the best asparagus I’ve ever had! Then the braised short rib and grilled tender were absolute bangers. I literally asked my meal if we just became best friends after the first bite. Not to mention, if you’re a whiskey lover, it’s heaven. If you’ve never been to Niche, you’re missing out!

Niche is an absolute standout! The ambiance is warm, modern, and welcoming—perfect for a relaxed dinner or a special night out. The food was fantastic, full of flavor and clearly made with care. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere, Niche is definitely a place worth visiting. Finally bone marrow fried rice is back!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My husband and I had dinner to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We couldn't have made a better choice in restaurants. The ambiance is perfect. Our server Dana was attentive and knowledgeable. She did a great job! We had the pork and apple empanadas to start. I had the half chicken. So tasty! My husband loved the lamb loin. We ordered the smores baked alaska and blonde for dessert. Both were incredible! Oh! I can't forget our drinks. The French martini was superb. And my husband raved about his rye old fashioned. We will definitely be back.

Went here for a friend's work Christmas party. The staff did a terrific job accommodating the group. The food was delicious as were the drinks. The staff was friendly and kind. The place itself is beautiful and very clean, also cozy. It's expensive but worth it if you can swing it. Highly recommend this place.

Spotted this place on google for being different from the surrounding restaurants. Looked chef driven and that just caught my eyes. It did NOT disappoint! The staff was all so helpful before getting there (by phone) and while being there. Rochelle was our server in the bar area and she was sweet, knowledgeable and had a smile on her face.With two different picky eaters and they both couldn’t stop talking about how great everything tasted. Ask for the specials. We had pork grinds, pretzel, burger, scallops, steak and both the strawberry almond ice cream and the seasame, caramel banana! We will be back!

My boyfriend and I went to Niche to have a major multi-belated-occasion dinner the night before thanksgiving and it truly could not have been more perfect. Our server Andrea was an absolute GEM!!! I am a server myself and she was the best person I could have asked for during this dinner. She was so knowledgeable, funny, and kind. Looking around you can tell she has fun at her job. Everyone in our section seemed so happy to be there with her taking care of us. I know how important that is to achieve on any night, so to Andrea, great job girl! It was definitely a busy night but the whole staff was borderline seamless! The dishes we ordered were perfectly pushing our comfort zones and this was truly the best meal I have had in a while. And to sell it even more: this was the victory meal I EARNED. The chicken? Fabulous. The swordfish? Delish. The desserts…. Niche team please give your pastry chef her flowers she’s a genius. The food was incredible, and the energy from the staff was amazing, and we will 100% be back.

Atmosphere- Nice, intimate setting, perfect for date night. Was able to have a conversation. Dimly lit like eating by candlelight but was a tad dark. Service - Excellent. Waitress was very attentive. Drinks and food arrived quickly Food- Overall the food was great except for dessert Dessert -We didn't care for the dessert( vanilla bourbon cremiux I think )....the cake or pastry, not sure what it was, was hard and tasteless. Appetizer- pretzel with maple bacon cheese was awesome Entree - Sliced ribeye with garlic fries was very good When the bill came we were shocked, the ribeye was the days special so not on the menu and server did not tell us the price. $76 for a small sliced ribeye steak with french fries is absurd.

Niche has a great vibe, very friendly and accommodating service, awesome cocktails, and a unique high-quality food menu. The steam buns were so good as well as the niche burger. The tartar sauce on the burger worked so well. For dessert, the pumpkin cheesecake was very good as well as the cotton candy!
